I know virtually nothing about this pirate other than it’s on 106.9, you can hear it in Dalston and in the morning, more often than not you can hear the most incredibly 7″ roots selections played with the minimum of fuss. Last week the regular DJ was replaced for a few days by someone that played a lame version of casio gospel, but then normal business was restored later in the week. No website I’m afraid.
Between Dogs and Wolves is no more. But don’t fear! We have moved to a bigger and better site: check us out here. We are now Night Listeners. Its much, much catchier and does loads more stuff. Please follow us there.

Ms Roots reality
Conscious radio is an incredible ‘community’ station of roots reggae.
You won’t find much modern dancehall, but roots, ska, reggae, even dating back to as early as the 50’s. I like all the days for the musicl, but thursdays from around 6 – 12:00 and, various dj’s male and female play some wicked roots revival, dubplates and ska and early studio 1 and some blue beat.
British reggae artists who make the circuits in UK, music from greats such as Burning Spear, through to British greats like Misty in roots can be found here.
On Fridays 7 – 10 there is a real roots reality, including nyabinghi Rastafari music, real drum sounds! It’s great!
Real treasure of a station, you should check it out! Sunday right through to saturday, 24 hours a day, real vybes, real music as vibes says!!
True can’t find the website, not up and running properly yet, but do tune in if you can!!

i thought that roots reggae had died out here in england so i am so glad to have turned my dial to 106.9.
